dB Sound Meter - Noise Levels
iOS Universel / Utilitaires
Point your phone. See how loud it is. In plain language.
No ads. No subscription. No internet required. No account needed.
dB Sound Meter turns your iPhone into an accurate sound level meter — and tells you what the number actually means. Instead of just showing "74 dB", it tells you: "Busy restaurant". Instead of "92 dB", it warns: "Hearing risk — limit exposure."
— HOW IT WORKS —
Open the app. That's it. The sound level appears instantly with:
- A large, clear dB reading that updates in real-time
- A color indicator: green (quiet) → yellow → orange → red (loud)
- A plain-language label: "Quiet room", "Normal conversation", "Vacuum cleaner", "Approaching hearing damage"
- Min, average, and max levels since you opened the app
- A live sound waveform
— WHO IT'S FOR —
- Parents: Is this restaurant too loud for my kids?
- Renters: How bad is the noise from next door? (document it)
- Workers: Is my workspace within safe noise levels?
- Musicians: Quick sound check before a gig
- Anyone: How loud is my lawnmower, actually?
— WHAT YOU WON'T FIND —
- No ads, ever
- No subscription — you pay once, you own it
- No internet connection needed — works on a plane, in a basement, anywhere
- No account or sign-up
- No tracking or data collection
— ACCURACY —
Pre-calibrated for iPhone models with A-weighted measurements (dBA), the standard used in workplace and environmental noise monitoring. The app provides reliable readings for everyday use.
Note: Smartphone sound meters are excellent reference tools for personal use. For legally binding measurements, a certified device is required.
