CAPTURE IN SECONDS Add quotes by typing, pasting, or scanning text from images with built-in OCR. Point your camera at a book page or screenshot and the app intelligently extracts the quote text. Record the author, source, and your personal notes.

REVISIT WITH PURPOSE The Today screen resurfaces quotes you've saved, using smart weighting that considers favorites, recency, and how often you've revisited each quote. Choose Random, Weighted, or Similar Chain modes to rediscover your collection in different ways.

ORGANIZE YOUR WAY Browse your full library, search by text or author, filter by favorites, and add tags. Everything is designed to stay out of your way until you need it.

ON-DEVICE AI (iOS 26+) When available, Commonplace uses Apple's on-device language model to generate themes, reflection summaries, and find similar quotes in your collection. All AI processing happens entirely on your device — nothing is sent to external servers.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your quotes live on your device and sync via iCloud. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. You can export your entire collection as JSON at any time.
