ChoreKey: Chores Unlock Phone
iOS Universel / Style de vie
Chore tracking + phone lock for children — but only at home. Step outside and the phone works normally. Snap a photo when done; parent approves with one tap. Setup in 90 seconds. No tracking.
THE CORE IDEA
Most parental control apps treat the phone like a 24/7 leash. ChoreKey treats it like leverage where it works: the home. When your child is home with chores pending, the apps you picked are blocked. When the chores are done and approved, everything unlocks. When they leave to go to school, practice, or a friend's house, the lock lifts automatically.
HOW IT WORKS
• Parent sets up once: home location, your children's first names, which apps to block, and a 4-digit PIN.
• Your child opens the app, sees today's chores, taps one, snaps a photo of the result.
• Parent gets a one-tap approval: check or redo. That's it.
• When your child leaves home, the lock lifts. When they come back, it re-applies — only if there are still chores pending.
WHAT'S NOT HERE (ON PURPOSE)
• No accounts, no email, no login on this device.
• No tracking outside the home geofence. No location history, no breadcrumbs.
• No analytics SDKs phoning home. None.
• No advertising. No subscription traps.
PARENT MODE, TWO WAYS
By default ChoreKey runs entirely on this device: no servers, no accounts, no data leaves the phone. Photos and chore lists stay local, and the parent manages everything right here in PIN-gated parent mode.
Want to assign and approve chores from your own phone instead? Unlock ChoreKey Plus ($4.99, one-time, right inside the app). Pair your phone with your child's, and chore data and approval photos sync securely so you can approve remotely. No subscription, ever. Until you pair, nothing touches a server. Photos auto-delete from this app's storage 7 days after approval, paired or not.
WHAT STAYS UNLOCKED
Phone calls, Messages, and Maps are never blocked, even when the shield is on. A 12-year-old can always call you when their ride falls through.
A NOTE ON FAMILY CONTROLS
ChoreKey uses Apple's Family Controls framework to apply restrictions to apps you choose. You'll be asked to grant Family Controls permission once during setup. Restrictions only apply to the iPhone where ChoreKey is installed.
WHO IT'S FOR
Parents of children ages 8 to 17 who have an iPhone. Works on your child's phone. The parent uses the same phone in PIN-gated parent mode to assign chores and approve photos — or unlock ChoreKey Plus to approve from their own phone.

Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
• Newly assigned chores now lock the device right away, even in the background.
• New setup guidance helps you set a Screen Time passcode so locks can't be bypassed.
• Fixes a case where a removed chore could keep a device locked.
