Talk Memo: Capture Ideas
iOS Universel / Productivité
A good idea hits while you're out running. You stop, dig out your phone, type it. By the time you start running again, the flow is gone.
That's why this exists.
Talk Memo turns one tap on your Apple Watch into a transcribed memo on your iPhone. Lift your wrist, speak, lower it. That's it. No phone, no fuss.
Pay once, use forever. No subscriptions. No accounts. No tracking.
— How it works
Tap your Watch screen — the red button starts recording. Tap again to stop. The recording slips over to your iPhone, where on-device speech recognition turns it into text. Memos stack up in chronological order.
— Four ways to launch from your wrist
· Action Button (Apple Watch Ultra) — one press of the orange button
· Watch face complication — works with any face you like
· Dock favorites — side button, tap
· Siri / Shortcuts — voice command or automation
— Send it where you actually keep your notes
I keep mine in Notion. Built this so anyone using any notes app could route their memos cleanly.
· iOS Share Sheet — Messages, Mail, Slack, anywhere
· Notion API — direct page creation in your database
· Obsidian — markdown straight into your vault
· Bear — one tap, note created
— iPhone and iPad together
Memos sync automatically over iCloud. Record on iPhone + Apple Watch, then read or export them on iPad in any app you like. Your Notion and Obsidian setup also follows you across devices on the same Apple ID.
— Speech recognition in your language
The app picks a recognition language that matches your device — Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, and 50+ more languages Apple supports out of the box. Override it from Settings any time.
— Privacy
Recording and transcription both happen on-device. Memos sync across your Apple devices through your own iCloud account — never through our servers, and no analytics either. Notion integration runs through your own API key, talking to Notion's servers under your control.
— Made for
· Runners, walkers, drivers — anyone whose ideas come while moving
· Notion and Obsidian users curating their note systems
· Apple Watch wearers who want voice capture straight from the wrist
· People who'd rather pay once than subscribe forever
