Do The Thing: Tame Your To-Dos
iPhone / Productivité
Created by a writer, parent, and ambitious human with ADHD, Do The Thing will help you cut through overwhelm and get a handle on your to-do list.
This is a passion project to create the tool I needed. I hope it helps you too!
**Why choose Do The Thing?**
Do The Thing provides a Getting Things Done (GTD)-inspired to-do list structure to help you stay on track with tasks big and small.
* Filter your list to display only tasks you can actually do right now, based on available tools, who you’re with, or where you are
* Learn to break multi-step to-dos into manageable pieces and identify next steps. When you create a new task, Do The Thing will ask you the all-important question: is this a one-step task, or will it take more than one step?
* Get a true picture of what your day will look like. See your to-do list on the same screen as today’s calendar
* Summarize everything you’ve accomplished at the end of the day: see your meetings, completed projects and tasks, and deleted tasks all on one screen
* Smart Sort pushes priority tasks to the top of your list so they’re in front of you more often
* Automatically add repeating tasks to your list based on when you last completed them
* Become a follow-up pro. Review your loose ends — responses you’re waiting on, things you’ve delegated to someone else, projects without a well-defined next step — all in one place

Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
This update refreshes the look and feel of the home screen and gets Do The Thing ready for iOS 26. There are still a few minor kinks to work out, so please keep an eye out for another update in the next month or two.
Other changes of note:
* Button at the bottom of task and project editor views now saves and exits when creating a new task or project, instead of the usual option to mark complete/closed
* Support for iOS 16 has been dropped in this version
