OilTrails features:
- Get turn-by-turn directions to your destination.
- View well data, including operating company, depth, drill date, current status, downhole fluid, and more (data availability varies by region).
- Stay updated with real-time weather forecasts, and check past weather forecasts to plan your activities.
- Drop pins on the map to reverse geocode to identify locations and share well information and coordinates.
- Easily switch between various map views, including Topographical, 3D Satellite, 2D Satellite, Dark Roads, and Light Roads.
Effortless Navigation Even Without Cell Service:
OilTrails ensures you stay on track, even when you're out of cell service. Initiate turn-by-turn navigation before losing service, and the directions will continue to work, so you never have to worry about getting stranded halfway to your destination.
A Comprehensive and User-Friendly Interface:
- Enter the legal land description (LSD), NTS, UTM, or Lat/Lon to access surface location details.
- Drop a pin on the map to view location and well info (for vertical wells).
- Customize origin locations for detailed step-by-step directions from the nearest town, useful for emergency response plans or providing visitors with directions.
Keep Track of Your Journey:
- Access a history of past locations you've viewed, including the date of access. iCloud support ensures sync between compatible devices and creates a backup.
International Support:
OilTrails goes beyond Canada - you can use it to find wells in the United States and Australia.
