The Beginning Slap Bass by MarloweDK app features twenty five licks covering the fundamental slap bass techniques including slapping, popping, slides, hammer-ons, pull-offs, bends, double thumbing and more. Created by one of the world’s leading bass teachers this app has been designed with one thing in mind - to help make you a better bass player.
For each of the twenty five licks the app includes four high quality videos of MarloweDK playing the lick at normal tempo, slow tempo, then reeeeal slow left and right hand close-ups. That’s one hundred videos in total to help you learn to play each lick perfectly! Performance notes for each lick are also included along with MarloweDK’s tips on how and what to play.
The app also features an animated tab and fretboard viewer that keeps time with the videos, and a tab player that lets you play each lick at the tempo that you want to learn at. There is also a metronome click (and a drum beat on the iPad) to help you keep your playing in time.
The app also includes an introductory video tutorial where MarloweDK gives his insights into some of the fundamentals of bass playing and his own slap bass style. There is also a techniques section with written explanations and close-up videos of fifteen of the key techniques covered in the app, all played by MarloweDK.
