Our Boston O&P Custom Scanning App refines the process of ordering custom spinal orthoses from us. By using this app, you can order from Boston O&P by electronically integrating 3D scans, images, practitioner instructions, and filling out our custom spinal and scoliosis order forms.

With this app, practitioners can take a unique 3D scan of each patient, include images to denote anatomical landmarks, write comments and instructions on the images and then combine all images and documentation into one electronic file that is emailed directly to the Boston O&P fabrication facility. When the file is received at Boston O&P, we use the industry’s most advanced CAD/CAM software to customize the image based on the patient information and the brace design that the practitioner selects. The adjusted file is used to produce a model of the patient’s torso that is further fine-tuned for precise fabrication of a custom orthosis. We do not use a library of molds like most spinal manufacturers. This allows practitioners to provide a truly customized brace and a precise representation of their patient’s shape for the most consistent and successful outcomes in the industry.

The Boston O&P Custom Scanning App is designed to work seamlessly with an iPad and Structure Scanner. There is no cost for the Boston O&P Custom Scanning App, no conversion fees, nor any added cost associated with this technology, yet it will improve accuracy and save time. Download this free app and experience the advantage of using it in your O&P practice.
