Most of the United Airlines flights to Hawaii play United's Half Way to Hawaii game. The pilot provides information about distance, airspeed, windspeed, and time of departure. The passengers are then challenged to guess the exact moment, in Hawaiian time, that the jet will arrive at the half way point. A prize is awarded to the passenger with the closest guess. The math is easy to do, but the actual arrival time needs to be tweaked based on various factors like variable winds, changes in altitude because of turbulence, changes in flight patterns, etc. This app will calculate the math for you. The art of winning resides wholly in tweaking your results.
