Build your airline from the ground up. Starting in 1960 or any year through 2020, you manage every aspect of a commercial carrier — from selecting routes on a real-world map to buying or leasing aircraft, setting fares, and outcompeting up to 49 AI rivals across the globe.

BUILD YOUR NETWORK
Open routes between hundreds of airports worldwide. Choose your origins and destinations freely — connect small regional airstrips, busy domestic hubs, or major intercontinental gateway airports. Every airport has its own demand level, business traveller profile, tourism index, and slot capacity that limits how many airlines can operate there simultaneously.

MANAGE YOUR FLEET
Choose from 124 historically accurate aircraft spanning six decades — from 1960s piston-era jets to modern wide-bodies like the A350 and B787. Each aircraft has its own range, fuel consumption, speed, maintenance cost, and passenger comfort rating (1–5). Buy outright or lease with a down payment. Leased aircraft cannot exceed 50% of your fleet, forcing real financial discipline.

SET YOUR STRATEGY
Economy, business, and first class — each cabin has separate demand drivers, price elasticity, and occupancy tracking. Price your routes manually or let the market guide you. Undercut competitors on contested routes, or push fares to the ceiling when you fly uncontested. Monitor your market share against rivals in the competitor view, which shows their fares, occupancy, fleet comfort, and reputation side by side.

INVEST IN YOUR BRAND
The Investments screen lets you control spending on Advertising, Customer Service, and Staff & Training — each on a 0–10 scale. Investment costs scale progressively with your company's net worth, so big airlines pay more. Your reputation (0–100) is driven entirely by how much you invest in your brand, and it directly influences your share of premium cabin demand.

Four distinct AI strategies keep the market competitive:
1.) Low Cost — short routes, no frills, floor prices when challenged
2.) Regional — local airports, turboprops, steady neutral investment
3.) Hub & Spoke — major hubs, mixed short and long routes, expands to a second hub once slots fill up
4.) Premium — long distances, business hubs, high-comfort fleet, top-tier pricing
AI airlines buy aircraft suited to their strategy, tune fares monthly, and adjust investment levels based on their financial health.

TRACK YOUR FINANCES
A full P&L breakdown separates operating costs (fuel, airport fees, overhead), fleet costs (maintenance, lease, depreciation), and investment spending. View cash history, revenue trends, and profit charts. Airlines worth over $1 billion pay a progressive insurance premium. Fleet depreciation is tracked turn by turn.

RANDOM EVENTS
Economic booms, recessions, oil price spikes, tourism surges, pandemic scares, and regulatory changes keep every campaign unpredictable. Events fire roughly once every seven months and shift global demand or fuel costs.
