The Hue vault
iOS Universel / Graphisme et design
Steal colors from the world and turn them into beautiful, usable palettes.
Huevault is the dead-simple, premium way to capture color. Point your camera and a live loupe reads the exact color underneath — tap to collect it. Found a palette you love in a photo? Import it and Huevault pulls a harmonious set of colors automatically. Every swatch gives you HEX, RGB, HSL and the nearest named color, each one tap to copy. Then share a gorgeous palette card anywhere.
No subscription. No account. No tracking. No network. One simple price, everything on your device.
CAPTURE COLOR FROM ANYTHING
• A full-screen live camera with a centered loupe that reads the exact color under it
• Tap the shutter to collect a color; grab a whole 5-color palette from a single frame
• No camera? No problem — import a photo instead and everything still works
PULL PALETTES FROM PHOTOS
• Pick any photo and Huevault extracts a harmonious palette on-device
• Choose how many colors to pull (3–8); results are shown over your image
• Fast, deterministic color extraction — the same photo always gives the same palette
EXACT CODES, ONE TAP TO COPY
• HEX, RGB and HSL for every swatch, plus the nearest named color
• Tap any code to copy it instantly, with a clear confirmation
• Export a whole palette as a hex list or CSS variables — paste straight into your tools
• Set your preferred default format in Settings
BUILD COLOR HARMONIES
• Generate Complementary, Analogous, Triadic, Tetradic and Monochromatic palettes from any color
• Live preview as you choose; save the ones you love to your library
ACCESSIBILITY, BUILT IN — our favorite part
• Pair any two colors and see the exact WCAG contrast ratio
• Instant AA / AAA pass-fail badges for normal and large text
• A live legibility preview, so you know your text will actually read
• COLOR-BLIND PREVIEW: see your pairing the way someone with protanopia, deuteranopia, or tritanopia does — right on your device. Almost every color app can grab a color; hardly any check that everyone can actually see it.
SHARE BEAUTIFUL CARDS
• Render a polished palette card — swatches with their hex and names — and share it anywhere
• Save cards straight to your Photos
• Perfect for moodboards, design handoffs, and posting your finds
A LIBRARY THAT FEELS PREMIUM
• Every palette you save lives in a clean, dark grid
• Open, rename, edit, reorder, duplicate, share or delete
• Starts with five gorgeous example palettes so you have something beautiful from the first launch
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• 100% offline — no internet connection is ever used
• No account, no analytics, no subscription, no ads
• The camera is used only for live sampling and is never recorded; picking a photo needs no permission
Huevault is built for designers, illustrators, photographers, crafters, and anyone who notices a perfect color and wants to keep it. Capture it. Name it. Build with it. Share it.
Quoi de neuf dans la dernière version ?
Huevault 1.1 - more tools, more color science.
TYPE A HEX CODE DIRECTLY
Got a color from a brief, a design spec, or a web page? Just type the hex code - #RRGGBB or RRGGBB, with or without the hash - and Huevault commits it the moment it's valid. No more going through the color wheel to enter a value you already know. Works when adding a color to an existing palette and when picking a base color for a new harmony.
OKLCH VALUES EVERYWHERE
Every swatch now shows its OKLCH value in the inspector - the perceptually uniform color space that powers Tailwind CSS v4 and CSS Color Level 4. OKLCH lightness is the only kind that matches human perception accurately, so equal L values actually look equally bright. Tap to copy.
TWO NEW EXPORT FORMATS
- Tailwind CSS config - copies a ready-to-paste JS object block (extend.colors format) using oklch() values, matching exactly how Tailwind v4 defines its own palette. Drop it into tailwind.config.js or a @theme block.
- OKLCH values - one oklch() CSS value per line, for pasting into any CSS Color Level 4-aware stylesheet.
Both join the existing six formats in the "Copy as" menu.

Also in 1.1 (earlier in this build cycle):
TWO NEW HARMONY TYPES
- Split Complementary: your base color plus two near-complements (flanking the opposite hue at 30) - high contrast with less visual tension than pure complementary.
- Square: four hues perfectly 90 apart on the wheel - diverse yet balanced, and geometrically distinct from the Tetradic rectangle.
TINT / SHADE LADDER
Tap any swatch in your palette and you'll find a new Tints & Shades section: five tints lightening toward white and five shades deepening toward black, each tap-to-copy. The fastest way to build a complete tonal scale from a single brand color.
COLOR-BLIND PREVIEW IN THE SWATCH INSPECTOR
The protanopia / deuteranopia / tritanopia preview that was only in the contrast checker is now in the swatch inspector too - so you can see any individual color through each lens, right where you're working.
FOUR EXPORT FORMATS
- Swift / Xcode JSON - paste directly into an Xcode asset catalog Color Set.
- Figma tokens JSON - W3C Design Token format, compatible with Figma Tokens (Tokens Studio) and standard token pipelines.
- Android XML - drop into your res/values/colors.xml.
- SVG swatches - a row of labeled rectangles you can paste into Figma, Sketch, or any SVG-aware tool.
LIBRARY SEARCH
A search bar in the Library filters your palettes by name as you type. Handy once you've built up a library.
Huevault is still fully offline - no account, no subscription, no tracking. Everything lives on your device.
