In the fast lane: With PAK pass-by, users validate the vehicle exterior noise easily, quickly, and efficiently – whether indoor at the test bench or outdoor at the test track. Its workflow-oriented process takes standardization and automation into a new level when it comes to development, type testing, COP or idle noise determination. Users recognize the difference every day, in every exterior noise evaluation.
The PAK pass-by Pro App is the smart and mobile driver display for enhanced usability when operating the testing. By providing all relevant information, drivers are assisted during the entire measurement.
Operators interact with their pass-by system interactively by using the PAK capture App. PAK capture is designed for configuring the standalone operating measurement frontends for both the track system and driver system(s).
PAK pass-by Pro reflects information including:
System set-up:
Provides an overview of all measurement quantities and settings for both the driver and track system. With RTK systems, the RTK signal quality is shown.
Driver and Idle Noise:
Shows all relevant information while driving or idle noise measurement regarding the vehicle’s speed, rpm and status information from analog or digital instruments.
Result:
Shows information about the result of the whole measurement session, including the latest run and a fingerprint of all runs, error messages and selected user data.
Track:
Checks the track system’s signals and displays the current microphone signals.
With RTK systems, the user can specify the position of the RTK antenna on the vehicle in a graphical user interface. It is possible to measure the position of the antenna or enter it manually. The entered data can be checked using a graphical display.

Prerequisites:
PAK pass-by Pro can be used in conjunction with measurement frontends with PAK live and the software application PAK pass-by 3.0 or newer. PAK capture App or PAK scope software is recommended for configuring the measurement frontends.

RTK users benefit from a user interface for specifying the RTK antenna position data in relation to the vehicle. This can be done by automatic measurement or manual entry. The information provided is then displayed in a graphical view for validation in relation to the vehicle length.
RTK users can access the RTK signal quality via the ‘System set-up’ page.
